Bourbon Barrel Stout

We initiated this batch of brew on Sunday, January 6th, 2012, the date of yet another Bengal's first round playoff losses to the Houston Texans. (Boooooooo!) We got a new copper cooling coil (thanks to Mike!). Brian noticed some issues with the lack of bubbles coming out of the air lock, as in there were none. After some research, Brain bought a new hydrometer and measured the specific gravity. (Exact reading?) According to the reading,   the yeast most likely did its job and the lack of bubbles was most likely due to some sort of slow air leak on one of the seals. We did not pitch additional yeast. Mike and Brian transferred the batch from the primary fermenter (bucket) to the secondary fermenter (carboy). Thanks to Jen for picking up a new cork for the carboy. Bottling is tentatively scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3rd.
